Deven Desai

Deven Desai, Chief Financial Officer of MedStar Shah Medical Group, has over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry overseeing aspects of cash management, finance, and accounting. As CFO of an organization with over 700 employees across 24 locations, he oversees financial forecasting, long-term strategy, and the development and monitoring of operating and capital budgets while monitoring financial performance monthly. He also leads the preparation of financial reports and provides strategic direction for organizational growth, particularly in practice acquisitions and integration.

Mr. Desai began his career in accounting at the National Bank of India and later obtained a position in the Accounting and Auditing division of Aronson, Fetridge, Weigle & Stern (now Aronson, LLC) prior to joining Shah Associates, LLC. As an accountant for the firm, he developed his skills in human resource operations including payroll and benefits administration.

Mr. Desai hold a Master’s degree in Finance and Cost Accounting from S.P. University in India. He is recognized for his strong leadership, organizational skills, and unwavering commitment to ethical standards and integrity.
